Grocery Store CBD Oil Facts

It drives me absolutely batty seeing some of the posts on Facebook about CBD oil.

CBD Oil from the grocery store FACT:

Before we started selling CBD oil and giving it to our child we started researching the different brands of CBD oil out there.  I was told by a few friends that we could buy it at one of our local grocery stores.  You would think because it was so surrounded by negativity and lack of knowledge that the grocery stores would avoid it.  Then I discovered the truth.

Fact:  Hemp products sold in stores are most often made with hemp seed oil, which can contain only trace amounts of CBD. CBD oil bought in dispensaries made from the high THC marijuana plant does have some CBD oil, but not the quality that people need with the healing properties.  Don't even get me started on the CBD oil you can buy at Amazon.  Let's just say there is no telling what you are putting in your body with that one.  (Amazon does not test, nor control who sells what on there.  You could be taking anything and not know it.)

While it has been noted that hemp seed oil from the grocery store can be a great source of nutrition, its marginal quantity of CBD per weight makes it unfeasible as a CBD supplement. This is why many consumers take so much of it at one time in order to feel its effects. Our Full Spectrum Hemp Oil, however, is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars, offering higher percentages of CBD by weight and additional nutritional benefits from the contents of our oil.

Hemp Oil vs CBD Oil

Hemp Oil (which should be called Hemp Seed Oil), which can be discovered in the grocery store or supermarket at a cheaper price, is extremely different from CBD oil. Basic hemp oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds. GOOD QUALITY CBD oil is a subcritical CO2 extraction of the hemp plant itself, no the seeds. Don’t get me wrong, the hemp seed oil is good for you and a fantastic nutritive food. However, it doesn’t have the naturally occurring terpenes, cannabinoids (what you are after) and other parts that true CBD oil offers.

How much CBD Oil should I take?

That's a really hard one and generally can be different for everyone.  What I personally suggest to my friends and family is to start with the 500mg.  Take 10 drops every morning.  After a few days, if you do not feel the effects, then up your dose by 5-10 drops.

The effects tend to last about 6-8 hours.  If you are taking CBD oil for pain or sleep, you will want to take it again at night.

IF you have bought CBD oil from the grocery and taking 2-3 droppers FULL of CBD oil, well, then you just threw your money out the window.

Once you have worked with the 500mg CBD oil and still find that it is not enough (which most people do just fine on that one), then you will need to increase to the 750mg.
